Privacy Policy

It's Not That Simple is a small shop run by Drew Speed. We make digital planners, Notion templates and printable tools, sold on Etsy. This page explains what information we collect through itisnotthatsimple.com and our social media accounts, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you type it into a sign-up form on this site, along with which form you used and the time you signed up. That is the only thing the forms ask for.
- Basic request data (IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) that Cloudflare records whenever any website is visited. We keep these server logs for up to 7 days to debug the site and block abuse, then they are deleted automatically. They are not used for analytics or advertising.
We do not run analytics, advertising pixels or tracking cookies on this site. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie to filter bots.
How we use it
We use your email address to send you the free tool you asked for, a short series of follow-up emails about it, and occasional emails about new tools until you unsubscribe. We never sell, rent or trade your information. We share it only with the services below that help us run the site, or if the law requires us to.
Services that handle your data for us
- Cloudflare hosts this website and stores the sign-up list.
- Resend delivers our emails and keeps the mailing list.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces on this site. When a page loads, your browser requests the font files from Google, which sees your IP address and browser type in the process.
- Etsy handles every purchase. When you buy from our shop, Etsy collects your payment and order details under Etsy's Privacy Policy. We only see what Etsy shares with sellers to fulfil an order.
Social media
We use a scheduling tool, which we host on our own server, to publish posts to our own accounts on Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and X. When we connect one of our accounts, the platform gives the tool permission to publish posts to that account, read that account's own statistics (such as views and likes on our posts), and show us comments and replies on our posts, including the commenter's public name, the same as we would see in the app itself. The access tokens that grant this are stored on our own server, used only for our own accounts, and deleted when we disconnect the account or revoke the app in the platform's settings. We do not store, export or build profiles from other people's comments or profile information, and we do not sell or share platform data with anyone. If you interact with our posts, the platform's own privacy policy covers that.
How long we keep it
If you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you, but we keep your address on our list marked as unsubscribed so we never email it again by mistake. If you ask us to delete it, we remove it completely from our sign-up list and our email provider.
Your choices and deleting your data
- Unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every email.
- Ask us to delete your data, or ask what we hold about you, by sending a message to our Etsy shop at etsy.com/shop/ItIsNotThatSimple (use “Message” on the shop page). Tell us the email address you signed up with, or, for anything connected through a social platform, the platform and your username there. We delete it from our sign-up list and our email provider within 30 days and confirm when it's done.
- Server logs delete themselves within 7 days. Etsy order records are kept by Etsy, and by us, for as long as tax and consumer law require.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
